Track Abstract

The track “Artificial Intelligence in Engineering Education” explores how rapid advances in AI and Machine Learning are reshaping what engineers need to learn and how engineering programs can teach more effectively. As AI-enabled tools become integral to design, analysis, simulation, manufacturing, and project management, engineering education must evolve to develop graduates who can both apply AI responsibly and collaborate with AI systems across the engineering lifecycle.

Aligned with the mission of ICFET 2026, this track invites research and practice that examine AI’s role in curriculum and pedagogy, assessment and learning analytics, AI-supported laboratories and capstone design, faculty development, and equity and inclusion in engineering learning environments. The track aims to foster evidence-based approaches and shared frameworks that help institutions harness AI to enhance learning outcomes, strengthen engineering competencies, and prepare students for an AI-augmented engineering profession.
