Presentation Guidelines

1. Presentation Types

The conference offers several presentation formats to accommodate different research topics and participants’ preferences:

  • Oral Presentation (On-site): Traditional talk in front of an audience, usually 15-20 minutes including Q&A.
  • Poster Presentation (On-site): Display research results visually on a poster board. Poster session allows direct interaction with attendees.
  • Online / Virtual Presentation: For participants unable to attend in person, live or pre-recorded presentations are supported via online platform.

2. Oral Presentation Guidelines

Duration: 15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A.
Content: Clear introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
Slides: Prepare in PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) format. Keep slides concise and readable; use diagrams and figures wherever possible.
Tips:

  • Use font size ≥18 for text to ensure readability.
  • Do not overcrowd slides; 5-10 slides recommended.
  • Practice to ensure timing is accurate.


3. Poster Presentation Guidelines

Poster Size: Standard A0 (841mm × 1189mm), portrait orientation.
Content: Include title, authors, affiliation, abstract, key results, figures, and conclusions.
Design: Use large fonts, concise text, high-quality images, and clear layout.
Presentation: Authors should stand by their poster during the session to explain and answer questions.


4. Online / Virtual Presentation Guidelines

Format: Live presentation via Zoom or pre-recorded video upload.
Duration: 15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A (live session).
Technical Requirements:

  • Stable internet connection.
  • High-quality audio and video equipment.
  • Test your presentation platform in advance.
Recording: If submitting a pre-recorded video, ensure clear audio, visible slides, and file format in MP4 or MOV, max 200MB.


5. General Recommendations

  • All presentations should be in English.
  • Use visual aids effectively, including graphs, tables, and images.
  • Time management is essential; ensure presentation fits allotted time.
  • Engage the audience with clear explanations and key messages.
  • Bring a backup copy of your slides or poster.
